DIY Magic Bands

Its all Disney all the time around here right now! We've got 28 days until D-Day as my husband calls it. We got our Magic Bands in the mail a couple weeks ago and their pretty blah so I did some searching and saw that people have been customizing them so off to Michaels we went (she was not excited to be in Michaels if you can't tell)!

My band is red so I thought a Minnie inspired band with white polka dots would be perfect. My husband wouldn't wear anything too crazy so some random placed white mickey heads were perfect for his blue band.

These are Martha Stewarts douber set. They made perfect round circles.

The paint I used was Martha Stewart's multi-surface high gloss.

They turned out pretty awesome, if I do say so myself.

Now all I have to do is find something princess worthy for the little divas pink band :/

Easter Sunday at the farm

We decided to load up the truck and drive the hour and half (unbeknownst to my husband.. Oops) to Ticonderoga Farms in Virginia. I read the reviews before going and they were not good at all but I decided to chance it since they had an Easter Egg hunt and all day activities and I'm glad I did. They charge for admission and tickets to do certain activities but the majority of the activities are included in the admission charge. We bought tickets which we ended up not using because of the crowds the lines were extremely long for the ticketed events but we still had a great time.

They have amazing slides for the littles and mommy and daddy to enjoy too.

Meeting the Easter bunny was a suprise (although unwelcome by baby Noelle)

Easter weekend in the DMV area..

Part 1 (because our weekend was so cool it deserves 3 parts)
Yeah I know, I'm a week late but we had a great weekend and I wanted to share!

We have been living in Annapolis nearly 3 years and we now often take for granted living in a place where there is really TONS of things to do everyday. So this weekend we decided to take advantage of EVERYTHING :)

My husband has upcoming finals so he studied most of the weekend except Sunday when he graciously closed his books in honor of Easter and tagged along.

We started our weekend of at The Cherry Blossom Festival. We have never seen the Cherry Blossoms so we were supper excited.

A little back story on Cherry Blossoms..

Each year, the National Cherry Blossom Festival commemorates the 1912 gift of 3,000 cherry trees from Mayor Yukio Ozaki of Tokyo to the city of Washington, DC. The gift and annual celebration honor the lasting friendship between the United States and Japan and the continued close relationship between the two countries.

It was very crowded but very well organized. There were many stations set up for kids to do crafts and face painting and such, food trucks, live music and dancing and also a beer garden for adults. It was really an amazing event.

But I do have to say that P&G did an amazing job with their tent. There's nothing worse than going to a festival and because there's only portable potties  (can you say "ew") within a 5 mile radius having to find a discreet place to change a diaper.

P&G set up two tents. One tent to give out diapers and wipes and another tent set up as a changing station, complete with disposable pads and hand sanitizer. Pretty amazing not having to slide Baby Noelle down in her stroller && have to quickly do the poop and scoop lol. Good job P&G!

Introducing to the World Wide Internet.. The Wrights!

Well hello there :)) My first blog post. I am beyond excited! I have wanted to create a blog for a longggg while now but as always life got in the way, but with my two little girls getting bigger by the day and scrapbooking really just not working out (how in the world do parents of kids under 6 scrapbook on a regular basis?) I'm finally here! .. So without futher adu Drum roll please... Introducing...

Me, Tia. I am a 22 year old wife to a full time law student and mother to the two most beautiful (I'm not the least bit biased) girls ever. Yes, I'm pretty crazy. I am also a professional clothes washer, housekeeper, babysitter, chauffer, and children's party planner. haha no but seriously I am lucky enough to be able to stay at home with my girls and to be able to event plan for children which is AMAZING. I'm also a country girl through and through! ROLL TIDE! So I will undoubtedly say some things that will make you raise an eyebrow.. You have been warned.

This hunk is my wonderful, kindhearted, patient husband, Rashad. He is a graduate of Alabama and currently a student at Howard Law School. (I'm just a teeny bit proud as you can see) He is a lucky guy I tell you! To be surrounded by three doting women what a guy would give lol.

Our first born and the reason for every gray hair her daddy will ever have. Our princess, Kinley who just turned 5. She is a diva in every sense of the word. She is a little fireball of energy. What I would give for half her energy! She is currently in preschool. Oh, how time flies.

Our one year old, Addalyn Noelle (or as we like to call her Baby NoNo), our silent destructor. Lol. Seriously she is the quietest baby I have ever seen. The complete opposite of her sister. She will be sitting quietly watching cartoons one minute and the next filling the toilet with tissue.

And my husbands mom and dad, Latrice and Kirt.

Tia.
